Monday, April 9

A student reported that their clothes were missing from the laundry room inside the Paramount Center to the Emerson College Police Department. Officers conducted a search and could not locate the clothing.

Tuesday, April 10

ECPD officers stopped an unauthorized recycling company from stealing college property inside Allen’s Alley. The matter is under investigation.

Thursday, April 12

ECPD and Facilities Management responded to a report of people stuck in a Tufte Performance and Production Center elevator. Facilities Management opened the elevator doors and a repair company fixed the malfunction.

Friday, April 13

A non-Emerson community member refused to leave the 12 Hemenway Residence Hall and activated a fire alarm. ECPD, the Boston Fire Department, and Facilities Management responded to the incident, reset the fire alarm, and allowed reentry. ECPD reported injuries at the incident.

BFD is investigating a report of an off-campus Emerson student falling victim to a telephone scam. ECPD officers drove the student to the BFD to report the incident.

Saturday, April 15

Facilities Management shut down the eighth floor of Ansin Building after a student reported a strong odor. ECPD officers conducted a search and noticed a smell similar to paint thinner coming from the mechanical room. Facilities Management shut down the machine responsible for blowing air through air vents to allow the odor to dissipate.
