The Emerson College Police Department provides the Incident Journal to the Beacon every week. Beacon staff edit the Incident Journal for style and clarity, but not for content.

Monday, Oct. 15

The Emerson College Police Department investigated a report of a person who entered a building and walked past the security officer. The individual was identified and left the building.

ECPD is investigating the theft of a bicycle stolen from in front of the Ansin Building.

Thursday, Oct. 18

The Office of Housing and Residence Life turned over drug paraphernalia found inside a suite in the Colonial residence hall.

Friday, Oct. 19

OHRL turned over marijuana and paraphernalia confiscated from a student suite inside the Piano Row residence hall.

A student reported being struck by an unknown person Thursday evening while walking on Avery Street. The student was uninjured, and ECPD is trying to identify the suspect.

Saturday, Oct. 20

ECPD and the Boston Fire Department investigated a fire alarm in the Piano Row residence hall caused by overcooked pizza inside a microwave. There were no fires or injuries to report.

Cutler Majestic Theatre staff found the theater unsecured with evidence that someone urinated inside. ECPD conducted a complete search of the theater but found no one inside.

Sunday, Oct. 21

A break officer, who gives officers 15-minute breaks throughout the day, for Northeast Security noticed someone searching inside their car. The suspect stole a set of earphones from the car and got away. ECPD and the Boston Police Department were notified of the theft.

ECDP assisted an off-campus student who had been a victim of a theft retrieve an incident report from BPD.
