Tuesday, Sept. 8

An Emerson College Police Department officer on patrol found an unlocked bicycle inside the bike storage room at 19 Boylston Place. The officer secured the bicycle using a department lock and chain. A note was left for the owner to contact ECPD to have the lock removed.

Wednesday, Sept. 9

ECPD found the Cutler Majestic’s stage door and Emerson’s Cafe’s front entrance unsecured at midnight. Interior checks of both locations revealed no signs of a break-in. ECPD locked the doors.

A student reported to ECPD that she was hit by a bicyclist while attempting to cross the street at the intersection of Boylston Street and Tremont Street. The student was not injured in the accident.

Friday, Sept. 11

A student reported being threatened by a group of men while entering the McDonald's on 146 Tremont St.

Saturday, Sept. 12

ECPD intervened in a fist fight in the street adjacent to Allen’s Alley.  The victim did not want to press criminal charges and refused medical attention. None of the individuals involved had any Emerson affiliation.

ECPD investigated a report from WERS staff of a male only wearing underwear jumping and dancing on the sidewalk in front of the radio station. Officers found the individual dancing but wearing khaki shorts. The man left when asked.

Monday, Sept. 14

ECPD investigated a report of a non-Emerson-affiliated person inside the Little Building. The person was found and removed. The individual was given a trespass notice and told to stay away from the College.

A Residence Director turned a cleaver-type knife belonging to a student from the Colonial Building over to ECPD. The cleaver is a restricted knife in the housing policy.
