Monday, March 9
A staff member in the Walker Building reported college property damaged inside an office. The property damage appeared to be accidental.
Two students reported to ECPD that they were stuck inside an elevator for a short time before the elevator doors opened. Facilities Management was notified to inspect the elevator.
Tuesday, March 10
A construction worker reported that someone had keyed their truck while parked in front of 122 Boylston Street. ECPD is working to identify the individual involved in the vandalism.
A student reported that an individual tried to assault them while walking on Washington Street near CVS.
Wednesday, March 11
ECPD investigated a report of graffiti inside the Piano Row residence hall.
ECPD investigated a smell of smoke on the residential floor of the Little Building, revealing that students had burnt food in a common area. There was no fire or injuries to report.
Friday, March 13
ECPD helped drivers exchange information needed after they were involved in a minor injury-free motor vehicle accident outside of the Colonial Building.
A student reported having personal property stolen after leaving their backpack inside the Panera Bread on Stuart Street.
Tuesday, March 17
A passenger on a green line train reported to ECPD that their wallet was stolen. The transit police were notified as the passenger who had no college affiliation.
ECPD investigated a report of a suspicious person who was found inside a student’s room in the Colonial Building. The person was located and identified as a resident of the Colonial Building.
Wednesday, March 18
An officer in Piano Row found a prescription drug bottle that belonged to a student. The student was contacted to see if they needed the prescription back.
The Office of Housing and Residential Education turned over a butcher’s knife to ECPD that was found inside a Piano Row suite during a room inspection.
Friday, March 20
A student reported having electronics stolen from their suite while moving out from Little Building. ECPD recovered some of the student’s electronics. The incident remains an open investigation.
OHRE turned over prescription drugs, CBD oil, and other drug paraphernalia to the ECPD that was found inside a Piano Row student suite during room inspections.
Saturday, March 21
OHRE turned over drug paraphernalia found during a room inspection in 2 Boylston Place.
A staff member reported to ECPD that they were temporarily stuck inside a Piano Row elevator. Facilities Management was notified to inspect the elevator in question.
