The Berkeley Beacon

Katiana Hoefle
Katiana Hoefle was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, but moved to Thailand when she was eight years old where her family has spent the last twelve years doing work to combat human trafficking and strengthen ethnic groups in the Greater Mekong Subregion. She plans on centering her career around ethnographic journalism as she is particularly interested in finding innovative ways to create awareness for various human rights violations she observed growing up. Hoefle is currently the Beacon's Deputy Arts Editor.
