Assault in log warrants investigation, more attention

From all accounts I have heard, the student who was assaulted was in the lobby of 10 Boylston Pl.,I believe that only a cursory mention in the “Public Safety Log” (Nov. 1) is not coverage enough for the assault of a student inside one of Emerson’s own buildings.

From all accounts I have heard, the student who was assaulted was in the lobby of 10 Boylston Pl. and called out to help from the elevator where he was being assaulted. However, there was no response from the Securitas officer.

How could that happen? Does that not raise all kinds of issues about our safety and security on campus?

Personally, I think there should be an investigation on the effectiveness of our Securitas officers and further investigation by The Beacon.
