Can Price#039;s success Carey over?

After Bob Barker’s tear-filled departure, many The Price is Right devotees were not ready to see another host come on down. CBS took their time searching for a replacement for the animal-population-conscious Barker, the most recent winner of the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Game Show, hosted the show for 35 years of money-hungry college students, military people and squealing old women.

They have settled on the porcine Drew Carey.

Last month, Carey injured himself during a rehearsal of the Grocery Game when his hand caught in the spinning turntable. A trip to the hospital and a severe decline in self-confidence followed quickly after. Hopefully he’ll keep his appendages away from the Plinko board. The Beacon set out to survey Emerson’s campus on CBS’ decision. Us at the Beacon are just wondering if Barker’s Beauties are good enough actresses to pull off flirting with Carey.
