Many students and organizations host events at Emerson and broadcast them on EmConnect’s event page and fliers on bulletin boards around campus. The Beacon’s Living Arts section went through the events for the next week and picked out a few that seemed interesting.

OCSS Housing Workshop

Off-Campus Community Ambassadors will host housing workshops on Tuesday and Wednesday from 6:00-7:30 p.m. in the Beard Room. The event will answer students’ questions about apartment searching, paying rent, and more.

AURA Open Mic

The Treble Makers, an a capella group, will host their first open mic of the semester in the Cabaret on Monday at 8 p.m. According to the event on Facebook, students can “come through and let their hues shine.” Performers must fill out a Google form prior to Monday’s event.

Blood Drive

The EVVY Awards is hosting a blood drive on Wednesday from 11:00-4:00 p.m. in the Bill Bordy Theater. Students can sign up on the American Red Cross website if they are interested in donating. Walk-ins are also accepted.

EBONI BLK Out Fashion Show

EBONI will celebrate beauty at their second annual fashion show. All of their runway outfits are created by local black designers. EBONI will hold the show in the Greene Theatre on Friday at 7:00 p.m. Those planning to attend must fill out a Google form for tickets.
