Emerson’s Gauge Magazine appealed to the Student Government Association for an additional $841.43 at Tuesday’s meeting.

Editor-in-chief Evan Allen said the money will enable the magazine to print two thousand copies of the magazine, one thousand more than they have printed in the past. She also said they will print on campus to save money.

The extra copies will be put on display in a photography exhibit which the organization has been invited to take part in at the Atomic Bean Cafe in Central Square. The copies will also be used to increase the magazine’s distribution.

“I think we produce sophisticated content,” Allen said. “Other places have expressed interest in working with us.”

Morgan St. John, class of 2012 senator, spoke in favor of the appeal, stating that the organization doesn’t have a lot of expenses. The appeal passed unanimously.
