The Emerson College Police Department provides the Incident Journal to The Beacon every week. Beacon staff edit the Incident Journal for style and clarity but not for content.

Wednesday, Dec. 7

ECPD responded to a student in need of medical assistance in the Little Building and provided aid to the student, who did not seek additional medical attention.

Wednesday, Dec. 7

ECPD responded to a larceny report at the Barnes & Noble bookstore. The incident remains under investigation.

Thursday, Dec. 8

ECPD documented a Campus Security Authority report of an assault and battery that occurred off campus. The report is now being investigated by the Boston Police Department.

Thursday, Dec. 8

ECPD responded to a student in need of medical assistance in the Piano Row building, where the Boston Fire Department was already on scene. The student sought additional medical attention thereafter.

Saturday, Dec. 10

ECPD responded to a reported bypass of the security checkpoint in the lobby of the Colonial building. Upon arrival, the Windwalker Security officer had engaged with the non-community member, who was escorted off the property before they could gain access beyond the lobby space or into the residence hall.

ECPD responded to the Little Building for a reported theft of personal property by an Emerson community member.

Saturday, Dec. 10

ECPD responded to a report of a violation of college policy at the Paramount Theater. ECPD collected the contraband and referred the incident to Community Standards and Student Conduct for whatever actions they deem appropriate.

Sunday, Dec. 11

ECPD issued a community advisory concerning Boston Police Department activity occurring on public property near campus, alerting community members to avoid the area.
