Massachusetts reported 587 new coronavirus cases Saturday, along with 10 deaths. Saturday’s positivity rate was 4.4 percent.

New infections fell after a spike to 734 positives Friday.  Cases continued to rise this week. Daily totals averaged 514.

Infections have been significantly lower this week following a surge in the state the week prior which saw the largest single-day increase since May 30.
