SGA approves new elections commissioner

The Student Government Association voted Thursday to approve Class of 2011 Senator Morgan St. John as elections commissioner. The position that had been left vacant for a month after the previous elections commissioner, Nancy Kwan left to study abroad at Kasteel Well, Netherlands. St. John will serve as both Class of 2011 Senator and elections commissioner effective immediately.

St. John was nominated by President Cami Bravo, and the Student Government Association (SGA) voted unanimously to approve Morgan St. John as elections commissioner.

St. John said that she hopes to draw more student attention to SGA elections because they are not as well publicized as other events on campus. She said that as elections commissioner she will utilize Emerson’s various media outlets to have the student body more actively involved in SGA elections.
