10 Top Workout Tunes

Kanye, Gaga, Rihanna, and Britney are some of the biggest motivators to push Emerson students through that last mile on the treadmill. Whether you like to stride those legs around the Common, pump some iron, or tone your abs, iPods are the preferred work out partner.

“Hold It Against Me” – Britney Spears

If Britney said she wanted your body now, would you hold it against her?

“Born This Way” – Lady Gaga

Some of us weren’t born this way – we had to work for it at the fitness center.

“Workout Plan” – Kanye West

“It’s motivation to workout harder because he talks about getting a man and being rich from working out,” said Chrissie Szymanski, a freshman marketing communication major.

What better motivation than Kanye himself giving you a routine to do? And telling you how to bag yourself a man. Or woman. Or both.

“Do it Like a Dude” – Jessie J

“This song makes me feel like a man, and that’s what I need for a good workout,” said Louisa Borden, a freshman marketing major.

“Baby One More Time” – Britney Spears

Remember Britney in that gym outfit in the Baby One More Time music video? Who wouldn’t want that body?

So whenever you want to quit mid squat, just get lost in the beats and rhythms of your favorite song and push, push baby, take it to the limit!
