ibThe Wrestler/i/b
Director Darren Aronofsky’s newest film, iThe Wrestler/i, tells the story of Randy “The Ram” Robinson (right), a professional wrestler played by Mickey Rourke who has found himself washed up and past his prime. The film features performances by Rourke and his co-star Marisa Tomei which, along with brilliant cinematography by Maryse Alberti, should put this film in the running for a few Oscars.
With iThe Wrestler/i, Aronofsky opts to digress from his usual, densely stylistic approach to filmmaking toward a more naturalistic tone.
