Crime Log 4/30

Monday Apr. 20

An Emerson College Police Department officer conducting off-campus property checks assisted the Suffolk University Police Department with a person who wanted to report someone throwing rocks at a homeless shelter. Boston Police was notified of the incident.

ECPD found three unsecured bicycles inside the bike storage room and secured the bikes with ECPD chains and locks. A note was left for the owners to call ECPD to have the locks removed.

A student reported having their jacket stolen while eating at P.F. Chang’s, a restaurant at 8 Park Plaza.

 

Tuesday Apr. 21

ECPD officers investigated a report of a woman screaming inside a bathroom in the Walker Building. ECPD’s investigation yielded no signs of anyone in distress.

 

Wednesday Apr. 22

A student reported having money stolen from them while inside the Paramount Theater.

 

Thursday Apr. 23

ECPD and the Boston Fire Department responded to a small fire inside the dining hall. It was found that grease falling on to wood chips inside a smoker oven caused it to flame. One Sodexo kitchen employee sustained minor injuries while attempting to take out the flame. The fire was quickly extinguished and there was no damage to the building.  

 

Sunday Apr. 26

A student reported that a classmate was followed from Avery Street to Einstein Bros Bagels and said the person had made them feel uncomfortable.

ECPD and BFD responded to Piano Row for a fire alarm. The alarm was caused by a student who had burnt popcorn. There were no injuries or fire to report.
