A student reported being robbed while walking in the area of Boylston and Washington streets.

Wednesday, Nov. 9

The Emerson College Police Department responded to a smoke detector sounding in the Little Building. ECPD discovered the smoke detector was activated when a student over-cooked macaroni and cheese in a microwave. There was no fire.

Thursday, Nov. 10

ECPD responded to a fire alarm in the Equipment Distribution Center. Upon arrival, ECPD discovered that a resident of the apartments at 80 Mason St. had set a fire alarm off while cooking.

ECPD and the Boston Fire Department responded to a fire alarm from the Piano Row residence hall. The alarm came from a kitchen area and there was no fire or injuries to report. The smoke detector malfunctioned, and the alarm contractor were notified to reset the system.

ECPD officers witnessed an aggravated assault and battery in the vicinity of 211 Tremont St. involving people with no affiliation to Emerson. ECPD notified the Boston Police Department and searched for the assailant. The suspect was found close to campus and held until BPD arrived. The suspect was arrested and the victim was taken to Tufts Medical Center for their injuries.

Saturday, Nov. 12

ECPD broke up a disturbance in front of New York Pizza. BPD was also notified of the incident.

A student reported personal property stolen from their suite inside the Colonial residence hall.

Sunday, Nov. 13

ECPD investigated a report from BPD that people were kicking mirrors off of cars parked near campus. A suspect not affiliated with Emerson was found and held until BPD officers arrived.
