Monday, Sept. 26

Emerson College Police Department investigated a report of apples being thrown from the Colonial building residence hall.

A staff member reported getting harassing telephone calls. ECPD tracked the person who made the calls and told the person to stop or face possible criminal prosecution.

ECPD issued a trespassing warning after finding a person defacing Dunkin’ Donuts by writing on the wall with marker.

 

Wednesday, Sept. 28

ECPD assisted the BPD with breaking and entering a parked vehicle in the vicinity of the Colonial building.

A student witnessed a physical altercation involving a possible weapon at the corner of Washington and Boylston streets. The Boston Police Department was notified of the incident and investigated the report.

 

Friday, Sept. 30

ECPD and The Office of Housing and Residence Life investigated a report of a student smoking marijuana inside their suite in the Little Building. The student turned over a small amount of the drug to ECPD.

 

Monday, Oct. 3

ECPD and The Boston Fire Department investigated a fire alarm in the Colonial building. The investigation revealed that a contractor accidentally severed a heat sensor causing the fire alarm. The sensor was repaired.

 

Tuesday, Oct. 4

ECPD and BFD responded to a fire alarm at Piano Row caused by a student cooking food. There was no fire or injuries to report.

 

Wednesday, Oct. 5

OHRL reported that they found graffiti inside the Little Building residence hall.  

 

Thursday, Oct. 6

A staff member reported the theft of her personal laptop from her work area in the Ansin Building.

Two students reported to ECPD that they were harassed by an unidentified person while inside the CVS at 631 Washington St. The students were upset but not injured.

ECPD investigated a report from a student that an unknown man was in need of assistance in the archway of the Little Building. The officer found a male who appeared to be under the influence of narcotics and needed assistance. An ambulance was contacted for the individual.

 

Friday, Oct. 7

ECPD responded to the area of Boylston and Tremont streets after BPD reported that there was an apparent victim of a stabbing. BPD handled the investigation and the single victim was transported to an area hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.  

 

Saturday, Oct. 8

ECPD investigated a vehicle that had not moved for two days in front of the Colonial building. An investigation revealed the motor vehicle had been reported stolen. Boston police had the vehicle towed and the owner notified.

ECPD removed a student who violated posted “no trespassing” signs by climbing the scaffolding on Boylston Street.

 

Sunday, Oct. 9

ECPD responded to a disorderly person at The Paramount Center who had been asked to leave a performance. The person was escorted out of the theater by other people she had been with.
