Emerson announced its partnership with TalentBoost, a COVID-19 contact tracing service, on Feb. 4, just hours after updating COVID-19 protocol within college operations.

TalentBoost,  a COVID-19 case investigation and contact tracing company, will be the college’s official contact tracing service after utilizing Tufts Medical Center staff as its contract tracing staff since the start of Emerson’s COVID-19 testing protocol in 2020.

TalentBoost will call students who have tested positive for COVID-19 or are a close contact at (617) 855-7909. If the call appears as a “Spam Risk” or is declined, TalentBoost will leave a voicemail message with a call back number, which was not disclosed, and send an email from [email protected]. College officials advise students to return TalentBoost’s calls.

The company will ask for the student’s name, Emerson ID number and date of birth, but will not ask for the student’s social security number or bank information.

College officials recommend students start the isolation or quarantine period immediately if they feel sick, are a known contact of a confirmed case of COVID-19 or test positive for COVID-19 before receiving the call from TalentBoost, Tufts Medical Center or the Center for Health and Wellness.
