The recently-opened Griddler’s Burgers and Dogs now allows Emerson students to use their ECCash to buy their food.

The restaurant, located on Boylston Street between Emerson’s Piano Row and Walker buildings, opened on March 9, and began taking this virtual currency on March 26.

Manager Antoine Cureton said accepting it has been very effective for the business. Being open to taking ECCash gives students the option to get their food when they may not have physical money available to spend, Cureton said. 

“Students don’t always just have cash on them. Some of them don’t have jobs,” Cureton said. “For that reason, why not do the ECCash?”
