Incident Journal

The Incident Journal is provided to the Beacon weekly by the Emerson College Police Department. Beacon staff edit the Incident Journal for style and clarity, but not for content.

Monday, Oct. 30
Library staff reported vandalism found on study cubicles.

The Emerson College Police Department and Boston Police Department investigated a report of a person bringing suspicious items into the Cabaret. Upon further investigation, the suspicious material was identified as lighting equipment.

A staff member reported to ECPD that they were accosted several days earlier while walking to 99 Summer Street.

Tuesday, Oct. 31
ECPD investigated a report that people graffitied the Ansin Building. The graffiti turned out to be a political poster.

A student reported having personal property stolen while inside Boston Common Coffee Company. BPD was alerted to the theft.

Two students threw liquid out of a dorm room window at people on the sidewalk. The liquid didn’t strike any pedestrians, and the issue was sent to the Office of Community Standards & Student Conduct for discipline.

Wednesday, Nov. 1
A student reported leaving personal property inside a classroom in the Ansin Building.

ECPD investigated a report of harassment.  

Thursday, Nov. 2
A staff member reported equipment missing from the 20 Park Plaza building.

Friday, Nov. 3
A box truck accidentally struck a lighting fixture located on 216 Tremont Street.

Saturday Nov. 4

Construction workers reported the theft of personal property stolen in front of 219 Tremont Street.

ECPD removed two individuals unaffiliated with the college tried to gain access to the Paramount Center.

Sunday, Nov. 5
An officer on patrol found the front door of the Union Savings Bank Building open. ECPD found nothing out of the ordinary after conducting a check of the building.

A student who lost their wallet reported their credit card was used at local establishments. ECPD is investigating the report.
