Incident Journal: ECPD destroys contraband seized by HRE staff

The Emerson College Police Department provides the Incident Journal to The Beacon every week. Beacon staff edit the Incident Journal for style and clarity but not for content.

Monday, Nov. 20

An Emerson College community member reported an incident that occurred earlier in the day at the Dunkin Donuts located at 8 Park Plaza. ECPD offered assistance in reporting the crime to BPD and documented the incident in a campus security authority report.

Tuesday, Nov. 21

ECPD was made aware of Emerson College students who violated the college’s dining facilities policies. The students were referred to Community Standards & Student Conduct for whatever actions they deem appropriate.

Tuesday, Nov. 21

HRE staff requested ECPD respond to the Paramount residence hall at 2:15 p.m. to take custody of and destroy contraband that HRE staff seized.

Thursday, Nov. 23

ECPD was notified of a bypass of security at the Piano Row residence hall at 1:50 p.m. An actively enrolled Emerson College student, who was not authorized to stay in the residence hall over Thanksgiving break entered the residence hall. HRE staff responded and asked the identified student to vacate the residence hall. HRE offered the student the opportunity to arrange to register for the weekend stay, but they declined the offer.
