Incident Journal: Pickpocket, fire alarm in Piano Row

The Emerson College Police Department provides the Incident Journal to The Beacon every week. Beacon staff edit the Incident Journal for style and clarity but not for content.

Monday, Feb. 10

A staff member turned in a wallet they found while walking near the Walker Building to ECPD. It contained a significant amount of money and ECPD is currently storing it for safekeeping.

Thursday, Feb. 13

A student reported being a victim of a pick pocketer while walking from the Paramount Center towards the Walker Building.

Sunday, Feb. 16

Boston Fire Department and the ECPD investigated a fire alarm on the 10th floor of Piano Row. The investigation revealed the cause of the fire alarm was smoke from the careless disposal of burnt popcorn. There was no fire or injuries to report.
