Incident Journal: two firearm-related incidents, cannabis paraphernalia found in elevator lobby

Tuesday, April 7

An ECPD officer on patrol found the side entrance to the Equipment Distribution Center unsecured. The officer conducted a building search and secured the area when nothing was found out of order. 

An officer discovered that a front door to the Tufte Building would not secure properly. The officer notified Facilities Management who fixed the issue.

Boston Police responded to a report of gunshots in the area near the Soldiers and Sailors Monument inside the Boston Common. BPD are actively investigating this incident and identifying suspects.

Thursday, April 9

ECPD confiscated cannabis paraphernalia found in a 2 Boylston Place elevator lobby.

Friday, April 10

Boston Police arrested a man who had assaulted a person in front of the St. Francis House on Boylston Street with a gun. The BPD recovered the firearm and arrested the individual involved.
