New weekend vegan options in dining hall

Now anyone can head down to the dining hall and be vegan on the weekend.

The dining hall began offering vegan-friendly meals Sunday in lieu of the dedicated station, which is closed on weekends.

Katja Vujic, a sophomore writing, literature, and publishing major, said she was grateful to have more options as a pescatarian—a person who doesn’t eat meat, but does eat fish.

“On the weekend, there’s usually not very good food and there’s usually not a lot of options that don’t have meat in them,” Vujic said. “Whenever I go on the weekend I’m always sad that the vegan station is closed.”

Sodexo advertisements indicate that vegan options will be available every weekend. Members of dining services management declined to comment.
