Public Safety Log – April 17, 2014

Tuesday, April 8

At 8:50 a.m., the Emerson College Police Department investigated a report of a fight between students in the Little Building.

 

At 2:29 p.m., a student reported the theft of the student’s clothes from the laundry room in Piano Row.

 

At 6:11 p.m., a student reported being harassed by another student in the Paramount Center.

 

Thursday, April 10

At 6:06 p.m., ECPD removed a person that was not authorized to be in the Paramount Center.

 At 9:39 p.m., a student reported having their wallet stolen while inside the Little Building’s dining hall.

 

Friday, April 11

At 1:28 p.m., a Securitas officer stopped an individual attempting to gain access to the administrative area in the Paramount Center using a fraudulent ID. ECPD removed the person and spoke to the owner of the Emerson ID. 

 

Saturday, April 12

At 9:28 a.m., a student and her mother were trapped inside an elevator in Piano Row for a short time. Facilities management was notified and freed the pair. There were no injuries to report during the entrapment.

 

At 5:04 p.m., unknown person(s) broke a glass door pane at the front entrance of the Little Building. Facilities was notified for repair.

 

Sunday, April 13

At 3:03 a.m., ECPD investigated a report of a suspicious male banging on a door inside the residence hall in Piano Row. ECPD found the man outside of the building. The man was stopped and questioned by ECPD before leaving the area.

 

Monday, April 14

At 11:45 a.m., ECPD conducted an investigation into a suspicious package addressed to a student residing on campus. The package was found to contain marijuana. 

 

At 2:20 p.m., ECPD and the Boston Fire Department investigated a fire alarm coming from the second floor in Little Building. The source of the fire alarm was determined to be smoke from the dining hall kitchen.

 

At 3:45 p.m., a student reported the theft of her cellular phone from the Iwasaki Library.

 

At 4:14 p.m., a student reported that an unknown motor vehicle with two occupants was following her while walking from Piano Row to Little Building.
