Residence hall spends night without heat

On Sunday, as the sun went down, the temperature in the residence halls did the same.

“It was so cold in my room in the Little Building,” sophomore visual and media arts major Ella Brooks said. “It was probably the same temperature outside as it was inside.”

Although students were turning their thermostats up, the heat didn’t come on until the next day.

Erik Muurisepp, associate dean and director of Housing and Residence Life, sent an email to residents the next morning after receiving complaints and work orders through the night. He said that the heat would be fully operational by the end of the day.
