Men’s Soccer
The Emerson College men’s soccer team ended its season with a 6-8-5 overall record, including going 3-4-1 in the NEWMAC. They ended up making the NEWMAC playoffs as the fourth seed, but lost 0-1 to Worcester Polytechnic Institute in overtime in the first round.
The team was led by senior defender Kyler Maira, who led the group with four goals and had one assist in the year. Additionally, junior midfielder Rohan Edwards finished with two goals and four assists. First-year goalie Asa Roberts stood fast in goal, starting 15 games on the year.
At the end of the season, junior defender Daniel Bede was named to the All-NEWMAC first team, and graduate defender Dominic Reiter was named to the All-NEWMAC second team.


Women’s Soccer
The Emerson women’s soccer team ended its season with a 9-6-4 overall record, including going 7-2-2 in the NEWMAC. They ended up making it to the NEWMAC playoffs as the third seed, but lost to WPI 1-2 in the first round.
The team was led by first-year forward Rowan McCrary, who led the team with four goals and four assists. Additionally, senior midfielder Linae Bezdek finished the year with three goals and two assists. In net, sophomore goalie Hailey Forman held it down, starting 17 out of the 19 games and finishing with 81 saves on 20 goals allowed.
At the end of the season, four players were named to an All-NEWMAC team. Senior defender Presley King and first-year McCrary were both named All-NEWMAC first team, while junior defender Carmen Talavera and first-year defender Brady Campbell were named to the All-NEWMAC second team.


Women’s Volleyball
The Emerson women’s volleyball team ended its season with a 14-15 overall record, including going 6-5 in the NEWMAC. They made it to the first round of the NEWMAC playoffs as the 6th seed, but lost in straight sets to the third-seeded Springfield College Pride.
The team’s attack was led by first-year outside hitter Shirley Yu and sophomore setter Chloe Hokenson. Yu finished the year with 243 kills, and Hokenson finished close behind with 228. Additionally, Hokenson was able to reach the prestigious 1,000 career assist mark during her game vs Saint Joseph’s College of Maine.
On the defensive side, junior defensive specialist Lauren Yoo led the team with an impressive 365 digs.
At the end of the year, Hokenson was honored with a spot on the All-NEWMAC second team.

Baseball
Emerson baseball ended their fall ball season with a full intersquad scrimmage. Some of the most notable players returning to the squad this year are junior infielder Braeden O’Connell, junior infielder/pitcher Tyler Metcalf, and senior infielder Justin Fields. Finishing the 2024-2025 season 8-22, the Lions look to turn a new leaf this season.
