The results of the Student Government Association’s fall 2015 special elections will be released later this week, according to Elections Chair James Rowland.
The elections were open from Oct. 7 to Oct. 9. The positions open included department senator positions for communication sciences and disorders, journalism, and visual and media arts, and also treasurer of the class of 2018.
Rowland, a sophomore visual and media arts major, said that the announcement of the results were delayed because some write-in candidates have yet to confirm. Rowland said that this is due to the holiday and the altered class schedule this week.
SGA by-laws give write-in candidates 48 hours or until the next SGA Joint Session meeting to hand in packets.
Rowland said he and other members of SGA have agreed to not make an official press release until all candidates have been approved.
