Avary Amaral, Magazine Editor

Avary Amaral is a senior journalism major and sociology & anthropology minor. At the Beacon she serves as the magazine editor. She is also an intern at HorizonMass, an independent and student-driven news magazine. She will be returning as a summer intern to The New Bedford Light, a non-profit and community focused news outlet located in New Bedford, Mass., after three consecutive years of being in their summer intern program. Being a Mass. native, from Dartmouth, Avary enjoys listening to music, going on hikes, sketching, and spending quality time with her friends exploring new places.
