Jesse Lipschutz (He/Him) is a junior Theater major with a concentration in directing, arts administration, and a minor in journalism. Jesse serves as a Beacon Staff Writer in the Living Arts section, specializing in theater reporting, reviews, and interviews with theater productions and professionals in the Boston theater scene. He also serves as a staff writer and editor at the Emerson Independent, where he runs a theater and emerging arts column. Aside from his interests in journalism, Jesse is also student theater director, company manager, and stage manager, specializing in musicals, operas, and new works, with such companies as Purchase Opera, Queens Summer Vocal Institute, Arlington Children’s Theatre, Dare2Dream, and EmersonStage.
