The Max will be closed until 5 p.m. on Wednesday due to a vendor employee testing positive for COVID-19.

The closure, announced by Assistant Vice President for Campus Life and “COVID Lead” Erik Muurisepp in an email Tuesday evening, comes just two days after the Max Cafe reopened for the spring semester.

“Earlier today, through our COVID surveillance testing program, we learned that a vendor employee received a positive test result,” Muurisepp wrote. “Per our established disinfecting protocols, The Max Cafe (second floor of Piano Row) will remain closed through 5:00 pm on Wednesday, January 27, 2021.”

All other campus dining services will remain open for their normal business hours and the Max will reopen after 5:00 pm on Wednesday.
