#1 LSU at #17 Kentucky
Now that USC has joined the long list of monumental upsets this season, LSU has become the consensus #1 team in the nation. If they aren’t careful, however, it may be short lived.

Now that USC has joined the long list of monumental upsets this season, LSU has become the consensus #1 team in the nation. If they aren’t careful, however, it may be short lived.
Despite a recent defeat, Kentucky battled deep into the third quarter, fighting a hostile crowd last week against the Gamecocks. But LSU is no stranger to top 25 teams, with a 6-0 record that is well-deserved after wins against South Carolina and Auburn at home.
Now they travel to play a top 20 team in the nation for the first time this year, and you can bet that LSU coach Les Miles will have his hands full with the SEC’s highest scoring offense.
Predictio:- LSU 32, Kentucky 24
#11 Missouri at #6 Oklahoma
Oklahoma returns home after a huge victory at Texas, but the competition doesn’t get any easier. The Sooners dodged a few bullets from the Longhorns, but their defense held.
The program has come under heavy fire for underacheiving, but with only one loss this season, Oklahoma is within striking distance of a national title. They don’t get to play a soft team like Appalachian State this weekend, but instead face off against #11 Missouri, who are undefeated at 5-0.
Mizzou took care of business against #25 Nebraska last week, but their road thus far has been easy. Mizzou ranks at the top of the Big 12 in all the major offensive categories, and Oklahoma has had a propensity to give up points.
Prediction: Oklahoma 27, Missouri 17
#4 Boston Coll. at Notre Dame
The undefeated Eagles are always described as “competitive,” but is this not usually the time of year they disappoint?
The Fighting Irish will be at home coming off their first victory of the year, which came at the expense of UCLA, who had high expectations this season.
Although Notre Dame has been everything but successful so far, Charlie Weis and that program are always dangerous. This is what would be considered a trap game for our hometown Eagles. They are much faster, far superior in talent, and on any given Saturday anything can happen.
Prediction: BC 31, Irish 13
