Emerson is hosting a “Community Conversation” event Friday at 3 p.m. in the Bill Bordy Theater as part of its early programming for EmersonTogether, an initiative the college launched in August to bring the community together in the wake of pro-Palestinian protests and subsequent arrests last spring.
The conversation will be led by EmersonTogether’s core leadership team, which includes Shaya Gregory Poku, vice president for equity and social justice; Alex Socarides, provost; Christie Anglade, interim vice president and dean of campus life; and Jon Derek Croteau, vice president of strategy, innovation, and institutional initiatives.
The event is open to the Emerson community, with no RSVP required. The event will not be recorded, according to Michelle Gaseau, associate vice president of strategic communications and media relations.
Discussion topics will be crowdsourced from the Community Conversation interest form. The number of submissions for the feedback form was not provided to The Beacon. The topics will be released ahead of the event.
