Two Emerson students were robbed by one or more armed assailants in the Boston Public Garden Monday night, college police said.

The students were robbed at about 10 p.m. Monday night, Emerson College Police Department Chief Robert Smith wrote in an email. The students, who were not identified, were not harmed during the robbery.

The incident is currently under investigation by the Boston Police Department. Officer Shandra Pinto, a spokeswoman for BPD, said she had no additional details to share.

We have received no indication that there is concern about an active threat to the community,” Smith wrote. “If new information becomes available, we will update the community.”

In the email, Smith reminded the Emerson community that the ECPD has resources available to ensure the safety of everyone on campus.
