Sam Lawrence is a sophomore journalism major with a focus in broadcast reporting. As a host and personality on the Emerson Channel, he brings his humor and passion for storytelling to shows such as Good Morning Emerson, The Spotlight and Backyard Boston. Sam is also a correspondent for WEBN-TV, writing news articles and reporting both in-studio and in the field. At the Berkeley Beacon, Sam produces Living Arts stories about Boston’s vibrant LGBTQ+ community, as well as the greater entertainment industry. He was nominated for a student EVVY Award in the spring of 2024 for his ‘Queer Prom’ article. Outside of journalism, Sam enjoys playing tennis, acting, and exploring the city with friends.
