Monday, Sept. 15
ECPD responded to a fire emergency after an alarm was pulled in the Ansin Building at 6:23 p.m. The emergency, started by a damaged HVAC pipe on the eighth floor that caused flooding from there throughout the lower floors of the building, resulted in a response by the Boston Fire Department. The emergency response was resolved in about two hours, according to the incident journal. The building remained closed throughout the following day to facilitate cleanup and some class schedules were impacted through to Monday, Sept. 22.
ECPD responded to an emergency that was declared on campus at 25 Boylston Place, near the alley entrance to the Dining Center, at around approximately 11:46 p.m. The incident was a request made when someone reported needing assistance with an unsecured door in the building. The issue was resolved and the investigation concluded the following afternoon.
Tuesday, Sept. 16
ECPD responded to a call at Colonial Building around 2:30 p.m., answering to a report that a student required medical assistance. The emergency was resolved within an hour.
Early Tuesday night, at 9:48 p.m., an officer on patrol reported graffiti had been found at the Harpoon Beer Garden attached to the UnCommon Corner performance venue in Boston Common. The incident was logged and reported as vandalism, though no details about the markings were made available
Wednesday, Sept. 17
ECPD responded to suspicious activity reported by a student around 8 p.m. The report by the student stated that they witnessed a person “acting strangely,” which resulted in an inconclusive two-hour investigation as the person could not provide an accurate description of the occurrence.
At 11:53 p.m., ECPD responded to a violation of college policy reported at 25 Boylston Place for an individual’s failure to properly identify themselves to Emerson security administration. The case was closed the next day at around 3pm.
Thursday, Sept. 18
ECPD were alerted to a medical emergency at roughly 9 a.m. at the Emerson Colonial Theatre. The case was resolved by around 5 p.m. that evening. The report did not include further details.
ECPD responded to an unsecured door case reported from the patrolled jurisdiction of Emerson Colonial Theatre. The issue was resolved later that afternoon around 5 p.m.
Sunday, Sept. 21
Unsecured doors were reported in the Walker Building at around 4 p.m. The case was reported to the facility by ECPD and was resolved by 6 a.m. the next day.
