Tens of thousands of protesters gathered on the Boston Common Saturday afternoon for ‘No Kings’ Day as part of a nationwide demonstration against the Trump Administration. Hundreds of similar protests were held around the country in nearly every major city. In Boston, crowds were shoulder to shoulder, filling the northwest corner of the Common.
Organizers of the event said on the event page, “We’re standing together against the abuses of power, cruelty, and corruption of this regime and saying with one voice — wicked loud —: ‘America has No Kings!’ The nearly three-hour-long protest, which began at noon, included speakers like Boston Mayor Michelle Wu, Rep. Ayana Pressley, Rep. Seth Moulton, Senator Ed Markey, and more.
