More than 30,000 participants took part in the 130th Boston Marathon on Monday. Records were broken, running conditions were ideal, and the city was electric. See photos captured by Beacon photographers spread throughout the city.

Jacob Goldberg (He/Him) is a Marketing Communications major with minors in Economics and Photography. He currently is serving as a Staff Photographer and Graphic Designer. Jacob started contributing to The Beacon in spring 2024. Nick Peace is a junior media and film major with a minor in journalism at Suffolk University Nick is from Natick, MA. He is the co-photo editor and video editor and has contributed to the Beacon since his first semester. Nick can be found working video gigs, stage managing middle school theater, listening to music, or watching sports. Marley Helfer (she/her) is a freshman journalism major from Seattle, Washington, currently serving as a graphic designer for The Beacon. Outside of journalism, Helfer enjoys spending time with family and friends, backcountry skiing, soccer, and exploring new music.
In 2005, when I was a Senior attending Emerson, I saw two colleagues run as bandits and cross the finish line. 21 years later, I’m now teaching at Emerson, and, I ran the 130th Boston Marathon as an official charity runner with Big Brother Big Sister. Not sure how we could have all aligned for a big Emerson united front – regardless – congrats to all the Emerson family who ran – please share pics!!
This Marathon was amazing!
