Tuesday, March 27
The Emerson College Police Department and Boston Fire Department responded to a fire alarm on the fifth floor of Piano Row. Overcooked food in the microwave caused a smoke detector to activate. BFD allowed re-entry, and the fire alarm was reset.
Thursday, March 29
ECPD responded to a report of people stuck in a Piano Row elevator. Facilities Management and BFD responded to open the doors and assist people out.
A student reported receiving unwanted mail and packages from an individual to ECPD. The matter is under investigation.
Friday, March 30
Barnes & Noble at Emerson reported to ECPD that an unidentified person shoplifted merchandise and fled the store. The matter is under investigation.
Saturday, March 31
An ECPD officer found a front door to the Paramount Center unsecured. ECPD searched and secured the building.
An ECPD officer found an overhead door panel missing from the rear of 172 Tremont St. ECPD searched the building, and Facilities Management responded to repair and secure the door.
An ECPD officer observed damage to a window in Piano Row. ECPD notified Facilities Management to make repairs.
