The Berkeley Beacon hosted the inaugural episode of The Berkeley Beacon News Hour Monday—a morning radio program dedicated to discussing both campus and city news with a splice of music in between.

The show airs on WECB at 8 a.m. on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and is hosted by Visual Managing Editor Kyle Bray, Copy Managing Editor Abigail Hadfield, News Editor Stephanie Purifoy, and Editor-in-Chief Chris Van Buskirk. The Berkeley Beacon News Hour marks an expanding effort by The Beacon to reach audiences on a variety of platforms.

The Sept. 30 show covered a spar between resident assistants and the administration over contract changes, Student Government Association Executive Treasurer Abigail Semple’s fee amendment, and an update on the Boylston Street sidewalk construction.
