Incident Journal: Little Building vandalized and theft in Fitness Center

The Emerson College Police Department provides the Incident Journal to The Beacon every week. Beacon staff edit the Incident Journal for style and clarity but not for content.

Monday, Oct. 7, 

An ECPD officer investigating a smoke detector malfunction in the Piano Row residence hall saw alcohol and drug paraphernalia and alerted the Office of Housing and Residential Education.

ECPD received a telephone call from a town police department notifying ECPD that a person was being sued.  The supervisor on duty told the town police department that the person had no Emerson affiliation and could not be served.

Tuesday, Oct. 8, 

An ECPD officer on patrol noticed graffiti written in black magic marker on a window sill on the Little Building. Facilities Management was notified for clean-up.

A student reported the theft of personal property from the Paramount Center valued at over $300.

Thursday, Oct. 10, 

A student reported the theft of personal property taken from a locker in the Fitness Center.

OHRE turned over a vape pen confiscated from a student inside the Little Building.

Friday, Oct. 11, 

ECPD responded to the loading dock area of Paramount for a disturbance. Upon arrival, officers separated the involved parties; both declined to press criminal charges and were sent on their way.
