Focus Group

We’re hosting a focus group on Thursday, April 16th at 6 p.m. to hear from you. We want to know what issues matter to you. To RSVP, please fill out this form by Monday, April 13th. The event has limited seating.

As a paper by and for Emerson College students, sustaining the trust of and hearing from our community is integral to our work. Before the year is over, we want to provide a physical space for listening and learning.

We are in a time of massive change both at Emerson College and in our country. As the only student-run newspaper at the college, The Berkeley Beacon is the only outlet with the platform and resources to keep the Emerson community informed. But trust is something to be earned, not assumed.

Specifically, we want to know what issues are going on in your corner of Emerson. We want to understand your experiences to inform — and improve — our reporting. We also want to give our readership access to us, to put faces to names. We’re not an institution or an amorphous idea — we are Emerson students, just like you. And we know that, without you, we would have no one to talk to, no one to write about, no reason for being here.
