Photos: Boston Local Food Festival draws crowd with New England flavors

The Boston Local Food Festival took place on Sunday for its 13th annual year on the Rose Kennedy Greenway. The linear park located in the heart of Boston once again became a hub for culinary delights, lively activities, and local hidden “food gems.” With more than 80 participating vendors this year, featuring exciting events such as cooking demonstrations and seafood throwdown, the six-hour festival was an outdoor culinary feast for hundreds of visitors by showcasing farmers, fishers, food trucks, local shops, and restaurants across four zones.

The goal of the festival each year is to not only support local farmers and businesses but also to promote and advocate for “local, green and fair economies,” according to the Sustainable Business Network of Massachusetts, the trade association organizing the event each year.
